From the moment I walked in as a solo wine taster, I was treated like a rock star. Seriously! Anna, the tasting room specialist who was helping me, was positively superb in her recommendations, helpfulness, and attentiveness. This made my whole experience positively delightful and welcoming. I'm excited to join the wine club and receive the top notch reds that Cathedral Ridge produces thanks to Gina (wine club manager) and Anna. Highly recommend visiting!
My husband and I had such a great experience here on our honeymoon. DeAnna was our host and she was friendly, fun, and informative. Other staff gave us great recommendations for a reasonable hike we could do the next day. We ending up buying the chardonnay and the Last Best Wife. We shared the chardonnay with family at home and they immediately said we need to order more. Plus, the views are absolutely incredible. We hope to return in the future!
With Mt Adam's in the background, this was an amazing wine tasting adventure. Very friendly staff will help you pick the best wine flight for you and just enjoy the choices, they are all good. A must stop if you are in the Gorge wine tasting.
A strong 5/5 stars for Cathedral Ridge Winery, very knowledgeable and well spoken staff, friendly and warm presentation of the tasting along with a generous helping of the local community knowledge. If you like red wines this is a great place to stop in, the views, the grounds, the flavors, all are absolutely top notch.
I highly recommend the Syrah Reserve, sipping on the back patio in the cool autumn breeze looking out over the Beautiful Columbia river gorge… this is a very special place, and you owe yourself a visit.
Our visit to Cathedral Ridge Winery was a pleasant surprise. Booking for a tasting was super easy. When I changed the date of our appointment, I was helped and the booking changed in no time.
We arrived at the winery a little early, but was welcomed like old friends (there is a difference in hospitality when you're a paying guest or a friend!).
We were served by Joelle, who was friendly and knowledgable about the wine. No request was too difficult.
The wines are ... well, book a tasting a go experience award-winning wines!
Located near Hood River. Award winning wines. Friendly knowledgeable staff. One of my favorite wineries in the NW.
5 stars well deserved.
Service today was superb! 4/14/2023
Stingy pours. No table service. And $60 “reserve wines” that are only 2-3 years old. We have tasted all over the Hood River region, and, unfortunately, this is our least favorite spot. The massive billboard they have up in downtown Hood River is a good reminder for who this is for: out of towners who know nothing about wine. Go elsewhere.
Beautiful setting, perfect atmosphere, very knowledgable and friendly host (we had Joelle). I like that we can choose which wine to try here and they have a lot to choose from. The Zinfandel Reserve was our favourite and having it with the chocolate was an amazing experience. Would be perfect if we could have a small plate with our tasting but it was out when we were there (which was a Thursday afternoon) Would recommend stopping here, especially after a day in Mt Hood.
